Turn marketing into verified in-store sales.

Target the customers you want, reward a full-price purchase in any retailer, and see who bought, where and why. No retailer integration or shelf-price discount required.

How it works

We build and run the full activation. You choose the audience, offer and channels.

Step 1 · You

Target the right customers

Choose who you want to reach through the marketing channels you already run.

Step 2 · SeeGap

Launch the offer

Use full cashback for a free first product or a partial cashback offer built around your budget.

Step 3 · The customer

They buy in store at full price

The customer buys the product in an eligible retailer. The shelf price stays unchanged.

Step 4 · The customer

They upload their receipt and answer a short survey

SeeGap checks the SKU, retailer, date and price, while capturing campaign-specific customer insight.

Step 5 · SeeGap

We verify and pay the cashback

Only approved claims are paid. Cashback goes directly to the customer.

Step 6 · The brand

You get the proof

See verified purchases, new-to-brand customers, retailer performance, survey insight and channel attribution.

Use cases

What FMCG brands use SeeGap for.

Use receipt-verified cashback wherever you need to drive, measure or learn from retail purchases.

New product launch journey: a shopper sees a cashback offer on Instagram and heads in-store, buys at full shelf price and uploads the receipt for verification of SKU, retailer and date, answers three questions at claim, and the verified trial count, new-to-brand rate and survey responses land in the month-four listing review pack.
Targeted in-store sales journey: a brand serves a cashback offer on Meta to its exact buyer profile, the shopper buys at full shelf price in Tesco with the reward paid only after the receipt is verified, OCR confirms the SKU, retailer, date and price, and a cost per verified purchase by channel and retailer is ready for the next budget conversation.
Verified customer data journey: a shopper uploads her receipt and consents to share her email, becoming a verified first-party record; three survey questions run at claim from a verified buyer rather than a panel respondent; AI summarises hundreds of responses into themes and sentiment; and her consented record, tagged by retailer and SKU, syncs straight into Klaviyo and the next retargeting brief.
Sampling activation journey: a shopper takes an in-store sample and scans the QR code, a cashback offer follows on her phone, she buys the following week and uploads the receipt to confirm the sample-to-sale conversion, and the cost per verified trial and repurchase intent land in the next activation brief.
Customer recovery journey: an unhappy customer contacts the brand after a bad experience, the brand responds with a personal receipt-verified cashback offer that only pays out on purchase, she buys in-store and uploads her receipt to verify the return, and she is recorded as a verified repeat buyer with proof she came back.

FAQ

Questions brands ask

The short version of how receipt-verified cashback works, and what you get from it.

What is receipt-verified cashback?

You promote a cashback offer through a channel you already run. A shopper buys your product at full price in any shop, uploads the receipt, and gets the cashback once it is verified. You keep the verified purchase, the buyer’s consented data, and a short survey on why they bought.

How is this different from a coupon or a discount?

The reward only exists after a full-price purchase, so shelf price is never cut and margin stays intact. It is funded from your marketing budget, not your trade budget, and it is a full or half-price reward to drive trial rather than a small percentage off.

Which retailers does it work in?

Any retailer you sell in. There is no integration with Tesco, Dunnes, SuperValu or Lidl. Receipts come in from wherever the shopper bought, and we verify them.

How do you know which channel drove the sale?

Every channel gets its own campaign link, so each receipt is tied to the source that drove it. You get a cost per verified purchase by channel, plus a question at upload that captures the channel the buyer says triggered them.

What data do we get, and who owns it?

You own all of it from day one: a verified purchase count, consented first-party records, and survey answers from real buyers, ready for your CRM and your next media plan.

How are receipts verified and is fraud kept out?

AI reads each receipt and confirms the SKU, retailer, date and price, with manual review for edge cases. Sign-ups are phone-verified, duplicate and synthetic claims are flagged, and only verified claims are ever paid.

How does pricing work?

You pay a platform fee plus a fee per verified redemption, so cost is tied to outcomes. You pre-fund a cashback budget, we draw down only as claims are approved, and unused budget is refunded.

How does the SMS retargeting work?

Every buyer who claims opts in and shares their phone number. SeeGap captures those contacts through the platform, ready for SMS retargeting. SMS carries a 96% open rate, making it one of the most direct ways to bring a verified buyer back for a second purchase.
